KuKirin G4: How to Plan Longer Rides Before You Leave

The KuKirin G4 is a 2000W single-motor electric scooter for experienced riders who need a higher-power setup for longer or more demanding routes. Its current listing includes a 60V 20Ah battery, 11-inch tubeless off-road tires, a maximum range of up to 75 km and a top speed of up to 70 km/h.

For longer rides, the useful preparation happens before you leave. A maximum range figure is a comparison point, not a guarantee for every route. Use this checklist to make a route plan that matches the conditions you will actually ride in.

Start with the route, not the maximum range

Actual range varies with speed, rider weight, terrain, temperature and riding style. A route with hills, frequent acceleration, cold weather or rougher surfaces will not use energy in the same way as a flat, steady route. Plan a return journey with a reserve rather than treating the listed maximum range as your route target.

When using a new route, start with a familiar distance and check your remaining charge after the ride. That creates a useful personal reference for future trips.

Inspect tires and conditions before a mixed-surface ride

The G4's 11-inch tubeless tires are intended for paved roads and light off-road surfaces. Before riding, inspect tire condition and consider the surface, weather and visibility. Larger tires do not replace a pre-ride check or make unsafe conditions suitable for riding.

If rain, poor visibility or damaged road surfaces change the risk of the route, adjust the plan. A longer route is easier to manage when the return option is clear before you set off.

Match power to local rules and experience

Check local electric-scooter rules, speed limits, helmet requirements and permitted riding areas before ordering or riding. The G4 is intended for experienced riders, so route planning should include the legal and practical conditions of the journey, not only the distance.

Build a charging routine you can repeat

Use the supplied charger in a dry, ventilated location. Plan charging around your normal use instead of relying on a last-minute charge before a longer ride. If the route or weather is likely to increase energy use, leave more time and margin than usual.

If your everyday trips are short and flat, a smaller commuter-oriented model may be more practical. Compare the KuKirin G2 for daily city travel or the KuKirin G2 Pro VMP for a 25 km/h urban configuration. For current G4 availability, visit the KuKirin G4 product page.
